Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have killed 15 suspected terrorists in a precision air strike near Pulka in Borno State’s Gwoza Local Government Area, the Nigerian Army has said.

The operation took place at about 11.50 pm on 23 October 2026, following intelligence reports indicating terrorist movements in an area north-west of Pulka.

Captain Mohammed Goni, acting military information officer for the North-east Joint Task Force under Operation Hadin Kai, disclosed the development in a statement issued on Saturday.

According to Goni, ground troops moved into the area after the air strike to conduct follow-up operations and consolidate the gains made.

He said the operation demonstrated the role of intelligence-led targeting in disrupting terrorist networks and supporting ongoing military efforts in the North-east.

Goni quoted the Theatre Command as assuring the public that troops would maintain the pace of operations while remaining vigilant, determined and professional.

He also called on residents to continue working with security agencies by providing timely and credible information about suspicious movements and activities.

Such cooperation, he said, would support efforts to achieve lasting peace and security across the North-east.
