Uba Sani sympathises with murdered wedding travellers’ families

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has consoled the families of the travellers killed on their way to a wedding ceremony in Mangu area of Plateau state.

In a condolence message delivered to the family of the deceased at Dan bami, Anguwar Rimi village in Kudan Local government, the governor pleaded for calm, saying the government is on top of the situation.

Represented by the Kaduna State Police Commissioner (CP) Rabi’u Muhammad, he assured that both governments of Kaduna and Plateau had been in contact since the ugly incident occurred.

He informed that already so many arrest had been made by the Plateau state police command, vowing that justice would be done.

Sani said those who lost their lives would be buried in accordance with their faith while those injured were already receiving medical attention.

He urged the family particularly youth not to resort to violence or retaliatory act ‘as death is inevitable and can happen to anybody, at anywhere.

‘We all believe that each one of us must die, how we will die and where we will die, that is left to Allah the Almighty who decides on our lives. So, we should regard the incident as destiny and continue to pray for the departed souls.

‘I therefore pray to Almighty Allah to repose the soul of the departed ones and grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable lost, while praying for quick recovery of the injured’, the Governor prayed.

Also consoling the family, the Emir of Zazzau Mallam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli prayed to Allah to grant the deceased the highest paradise.

Represented by the District head of Basawa, Barde Kerarriyar Zazzau, Arc.Haruna Abubakar, the Emir urged the community to consider the incident as the will of Allah.

Responding on behalf of the DanBami Community of Anguwar Rimi, the Ward head, Musa Ibrahim, thanked the entourage for the visit and assured of their resolve to remain calm and law abiding.

He, however, appealed to the government to quickly identify the perpetuators of the dastardly act and bring them to book.

The Ward head said the reported 11 out of 32 people that died in incident were from the village, while the driver hailed from Basawa village.
