Fearless donates equipment to weightlifting association

Fearless energy drink brand from Rite Foods, a world-class company in Nigeria’s food and beverage industry, has donated gymnastics equipment to Lagos State Weightlifting Association (LSWA) as part of its resolve to promote sports development and physical fitness among youths.

The market leader donated branded gym equipment to the weightlifting association last Wednesday at Rowe Park Sports Centre, Yaba, Lagos. They equipment include Bench Press, Electronic Scale and Dumbbell.

The brand said it supported the association to keep the younger demographics engaged in weightlifting tournaments and exercises, a competitive sport that tests strength and techniques, and also to keep them fit for local and international events, like the Olympics.

Presenting the equipment to the Chairman of the LSWA, Kunle Komolafe, Rite Foods’ Brand Manager, Boluwatife Adedugbe said Fearless Energy drink deemed it necessary to support the organisation as a way of encouraging young Nigerians in weightlifting, and to keep them involved in meaningful activities that would enhance their skills for participation at local and global events.

She affirmed that the energy drink brand, which consists of the Fearless Classic and Fearless Red Berry products with its positive energy would continue to support worthy initiatives like those of the LSWA, with its quality tastes and the vigour required by gym enthusiasts to actively partake in competitions and training, thus contributing to healthiness and physical fitness.

According to Adedugbe, Fearless energy drink with the I CAN, I AM willpower of attaining success and the unimaginable, would continue to spur the youths who are skilful in weightlifting to achieve their desires and make them proud as they traverse the path of their career to stardom.

She pointed out that the brand’s inventiveness has earned high recognition in the energy drinks market with the first-ever packaged polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottle packaging, which is now a standard in the industry it operates.

On his part, Komolafe commended the brand for recognising the association and what it undertakes, and also in its quest in making weightlifting an exciting sport.

He extolled the brand for its laudable contribution to sports development and the donation for the enhancement of the LSWA sports centre, an initiative that would greatly impact the association’s speedy growth.

According to him, the LSWA ensures that discovered athletes are nurtured towards promoting physical fitness, mental alertness, and discipline which are germane for healthy living towards attaining positive outing of the sport in various competitions.

Eulogising the gift from Fearless energy drink, the Chairman of Lagos State Sports Commission, Sola Aiyepekun said that the huge support, which is an addition to what already exists, would help immensely in equipping the state’s weightlifting centre.

He said the state needed the partnership of private organisations and brands like the Fearless energy drink, in making it a place where young Nigerians with sporting prowess abound.
