2 drown in Lagos beach; LASEMA continues rescue operation

Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) has said that two persons drowned at Baracuda beach, Abraham Adesanya, Ajah during the Christmas festivities.

According to the report by LASEMA, investigation furthered revealed that “two adult male were trying to rescue an adult male from drowning before the high tide of the ocean drowned the two adult male”.

LASEMA said that “the life guard at the beach reported that the victims swam beyond the red line which wasn’t safe for them to engage on the rescue”.

The agency said that the LASEMA Response Team and its paramedics remain on ground as search and rescue operation continues.
