Nicolas Jackson and Liam Delap have been left out of Chelsea’s squad for their final pre-season friendly against Real Sociedad amid growing uncertainty over their futures at the club.

Jackson spent last season on loan at Bayern Munich and has attracted interest from several clubs in the Premier League and across Europe, including Aston Villa.

Delap, meanwhile, is reportedly being considered as a loan target by Italian side Como, according to Sky in Italy.

Danny Welbeck is also absent from Chelsea’s squad for the fixture, leaving Joao Pedro as the only recognised striker available to head coach Xavi Alonso at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.

Enzo Fernandez has been named among the substitutes amid reported transfer interest from Premier League champions Manchester City.

The absence of Jackson and Delap has further fuelled speculation that Chelsea could make changes to their attacking options before the transfer window closes.
