Calvin Bassey has expressed delight after scoring for Fulham in Sunday’s Emirates FA Cup win against Manchester United at the Old Trafford.
Bassey netted the game’s curtain raiser late in the first half with a powerful header.
It was the Nigeria international’s first-ever goal in the competition.
Bruno Fernandes equalised for United 19 minutes from time.
Fulham later prevailed 4-3 on penalties after Lindelof and Zirkzee missed their spot kicks.
“I like to say I’m a bit of a poacher. Trying to smell where the ball would go and reacted first, connected with the ball and it ended in the back of the net.
“They’re a very good team with a lot of talent. We tried to take the sting out of the game and control possession.”
“It’s a privilege and an honour to be here. To come here, it is a blessing, so I’m happy,” Bassey told BBC.
