Development in Ogun West senatorial district is gathering more momentum as Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, who represents the district, is set to hand over and commission another set of 90 transformative projects across its five Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the senatorial district.
These projects, which address critical needs such as roads, schools, health centres and modern markets, are part of the Renewed Hope Initiatives of President Bola Tinubu and serve as a strong complement to the strides of Governor Dapo Abiodun’s administration in Ogun State.
According to a statement by the Senator’s Special Assistant on New Media, Omooba Damilare Oloyede, the commissioning tour will begin on Wednesday in Ado-Odo/Ota LGA, where 20 diverse projects will be inaugurated in Ota and Ado constituencies.
The projects include modern markets in Atan and Ijako Ota. Also, school blocks, health centres, and road networks such as Lusada–Alapoti Road (Section II) will be commissioned.
From there, activities will move to Ipokia, Yewa South, Yewa North, and Imeko-Afon LGAs, ensuring no area in the district is left out.
In Imeko-Afon, roads like Igbo Ifa Road and Ilara–Ilashe Road (Phase I) will be unveiled alongside a brand-new Primary Health Centre and an ultramodern market.
In Yewa North, new roads, a modern market in Imasayi, and an ICT Centre in Ayetoro will open doors of opportunities.
In Yewa South, more than 20 projects, including township roads in Ilaro, multiple health centres, ultramodern markets, and ICT facilities for schools will be added to other infrastructure already in the communities.
In Ipokia, the commissioning includes township roads in Idiroko and Agosasa, new classrooms, health centres, and the Koko Ultramodern Market.
In Ado-Odo/Ota, 20 projects ranging from modern markets in Atan and Ijako Ota to school blocks, health centres, and road networks such as Lusada–Alapoti Road (Section II) will be commissioned.
Adeola explained that these projects reflect his determination to bring government closer to the grassroots. ‘This is not about projects on paper; it is about visible development that people can see and feel. Every classroom, every health center, every road, every market is for the people. These projects are in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr. President and are a continuation of Governor Dapo Abiodun’s effort to spread development to every part of our state. Together, we are rewriting the story of Ogun West’, he said.
