Dangote refinery starts free petrol delivery Monday, reduces price to N841/litre

Dangote refinery has said it will commence free direct supply of petrol across the country from Monday, 15 September.

The refinery also slashed petrol retail prices to N841 per litre in Lagos and the South West. For Abuja, Edo, Kwara, Rivers and Delta states, it will be N851 per litre.

It made the announcements in a post on its X page on Thursday.

On the free delivery scheme, Dangote Refinery said the it will start with 11 states, and ‘subsequently expand our operations into other states’.

According to the post, ‘All petrol station owners nationwide are invited to register for free delivery and other benefits’.

On 15 June, the refinery announced its acquisition of 4,000 new compressed natural gas, CNG-powered tankers.

Dangote Refinery added that the target was 10,000 CNG-powered trucks rollout this year to enhance logistics and reduce cost of distribution.
