Chelsea defender, Marc Cucurella, has suggested that the club shouldn’t have parted ways with manager Enzo Maresca.

Chelsea sacked Maresca on New Year’s Day following a run of poor results.

The Premier League west London club later appointed Liam Rosenior as Maresca’s replacement at Stamford Bridge.

Cucurella feels the Blues should have waited until the end of the season before parting ways with Maresca.

‘The moment Enzo Maresca left, it had a big impact on us’,  the Spain international told The Athletic FC as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.

‘If you asked me, I would not have made this decision. To make a change like that, the best thing is to wait until the end of the season’.
