Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo’s daughter, Priscilla Ojo has opened up on trust, loyalty and the realities of being married to a celebrity, stating that she has confidence in her husband, Tanzanian singer Juma Jux, despite the pressures that come with fame.
Priscilla made the remarks during an interview on WithChude, hosted by media personality Chude Jideonwo, where she spoke candidly about her marriage and how she navigates public attention around her partner.
Addressing concerns about infidelity often associated with entertainers, she said trust and discipline remain central to her relationship.
‘If he decides to go that route (cheat), it is his decision. But I trust him. He’s very disciplined’, she said.
She acknowledged that being in a relationship with a music star comes with constant attention from admirers, but insisted that personal values ultimately guide behaviour.
‘Of course, it’s not easy with women throwing themselves, but it’s his discipline and decision. Don’t get me wrong, some women go to any length, that also happens, but if you both are prayerful and your man is disciplined and knows what he wants, I feel he will be in charge’, she added.
Priscilla’s comments come amid sustained public interest in her relationship with Jux, which has evolved into one of the most talked-about celebrity unions in recent times.
Their relationship reportedly began after a meeting in Rwanda, where what started as a casual encounter gradually developed into a deeper connection. Over time, the pair built their relationship away from the spotlight before eventually going public, drawing attention from fans across Nigeria and Tanzania.
The romance later culminated in a series of elaborate wedding ceremonies branded #JP2025, which blended Nigerian and East African cultures.
The celebrations included a traditional engagement in Lagos attended by prominent figures in Nollywood and the social scene, followed by ceremonies in Tanzania hosted by Jux’s family. A white wedding in Lagos further amplified the couple’s visibility, with clips and photos trending widely on social media.
Since their marriage, both Priscilla and Jux have continued to share glimpses of their life together online, documenting travels, milestones and personal moments, while maintaining a strong presence among fans.
In the same interview, Priscilla also reflected on her upbringing, crediting her mother, Iyabo Ojo, for raising her and her brother singlehandedly and instilling values that now shape her approach to relationships.
