Diaspora Media Limited, which is organising the maiden edition of the Ibadan Children’s Theatre Festival scheduled to hold this month, has shifted it to September this year.
In the statement, the CEO of Diaspora Media Limited, Mr. Dele Morakinyo said the postponement is to allow wider participation by children from more schools. It explains that it is seeking the inclusion of the students currently involved in various academic schedules, such as final school and placement examinations.
In line with the objective of the programme. which is hinged on the more the merrier, it was decided that the festival be restructured, refocused, and include greater spectacle for better entertainment.
The organisers have expressed deep appreciation to stakeholders, including the managements of private and public schools and other agencies that have expressed interest in the historic event.
The company also specially appreciated corporate brands and eminent citizens in Ibadan who have bought into the event as Festival Ambassadors.
Morakinyo assured the people of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, that the Ibadan Children’s Theatre Festival would return better, bigger and of greater impact when it finally comes up in the last quarter of 2026.
