The Managing Director of ANOH Gas Processing Company (AGPC), Mr. James Makinde has reaffirmed the company’s commitment to fostering strong relationships with its host communities following a strategic engagement with community leadership held recently.
The meeting, which marks the Managing Director’s first formal interaction with the community leadership since assuming office, forms part of AGPC’s ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration, promote transparency, and ensure a safe and conducive operating environment.
During the engagement, Makinde emphasised the importance of early and continuous dialogue with key stakeholders.
‘I considered it important to meet with the leadership of our host community early in my tenure, to listen, understand your perspectives, and reinforce our shared commitment to partnership’, he said.
He noted that the success and sustainability of AGPC’s operations are closely linked to the support and cooperation of its host communities, adding: ‘Our ability to operate safely and sustainably depends on the peace, trust, and partnership we build together. This engagement underscores our commitment to maintaining a mutually beneficial relationship’.
The session provided an opportunity for community leaders to present key concerns and expectations, while the company outlined its ongoing initiatives and future plans under the Host Community Development Trust framework.
The Managing Director reiterated AGPC’s focus on delivering tangible community impact, enhancing local participation, and maintaining open lines of communication.
‘We are committed to ensuring that our presence translates into visible and meaningful development for our host communities. We will continue to engage, listen, and work together to achieve shared progress’, he said.
The engagement also featured a mutual understanding to sustain regular dialogue and strengthen mechanisms for tracking and addressing community-related issues.
