He said he was ‘shocked’ to learn of the Israeli airstrike and that it delayed signing by a few hours, but at around 5.30pm insisted it would still be signed within the next two to three hours.
Netanyahu shared an image of himself and Trump holding hands, wishing him ‘continued strength and vigour’ on his 80th birthday.

An Israeli source told CNN that Netanyahu had requested a meeting with Trump shortly after his return to Washington from the G7 meeting in Europe next week.
Trump announced late on Saturday that a deal to end the war with Iran would be signed today, although Iranian officials insisted no final agreement had been approved.
