ITH Holdings and the OED Foundation have carried out a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) outreach to the Fatherless and Motherless Children Aid Organisation (FACADO) in Abuja, providing financial assistance and educational support to children in the orphanage.

The initiative focused on strengthening the welfare and educational opportunities of vulnerable children, with support directed towards the operational sustainability of the home and tuition assistance for 14 pupils.

FACADO, founded in 2006 by Ambassador Ngozi-Anih George, is a faith-based orphanage that provides shelter, care, education and developmental support for abandoned and underprivileged children. The organisation currently caters for children aged between one and 19.

Over the years, the orphanage has relied on donations and partnerships to meet its daily needs, including food, healthcare, schooling, utilities and general welfare.

Speaking during the outreach, the Group Chief Executive Officer of ITH Holdings and Founder of the OED Foundation, Olusegun Enitan Dada, said corporate social responsibility should go beyond symbolic gestures and focus on meaningful social impact.

“The true measure of leadership is not in what we build for ourselves, but in what we make possible for others. Through OED Foundation and ITH Holdings, our mission is to create opportunities that empower people to rise beyond limitations,” he said.

He added that the visit formed part of a broader commitment to ensuring that children have access to opportunities that enable them to learn, grow and succeed.

The Head of Brand, Marketing and Communications at ITH Holdings, Muola Awolowo, said the engagement went beyond financial support, noting that time spent with the children was equally important in offering encouragement and emotional support.

“We believe impact goes beyond business performance. Real success is measured by the lives we touch and the opportunities we create for others. Visiting FACADO was a reminder that small acts of intentional support can create lasting change in the lives of vulnerable children,” she said.

She added that the organisation remains committed to supporting initiatives that promote hope, dignity and opportunity for underserved communities.

Founder of FACADO, Ambassador Ngozi-Anih George, expressed appreciation for the intervention, describing it as timely and impactful.

“We are deeply grateful to ITH Holdings and OED Foundation for this act of generosity and compassion. This support will go a long way in helping us sustain the care we provide and ensure these children continue to receive the education, nurturing, and opportunities they deserve,” she said.

She added that such partnerships help to reinforce hope among the children and demonstrate that they are valued and supported.

The organisations said the outreach reflects a growing emphasis on corporate social responsibility as a tool for community development, particularly in supporting vulnerable groups and strengthening social welfare systems.

While the visit lasted a day, stakeholders noted that its impact would extend beyond immediate assistance, reinforcing the role of private sector partnerships in social development.
