Kano Pillars have announced the appointment of Daniel Ogunmodede as the club’s new technical adviser ahead of the 2026/2027 football season.

The four-time Nigeria Premier Football League champions confirmed the appointment in a statement shared on their official X account on Friday.

“We’ve reached an agreement to appoint Daniel Ogunmodede (Ijaball) as our new Technical Adviser ahead of the 2026/2027 football season,” the club stated.

Kano Pillars also welcomed the coach to the club, expressing optimism about the new partnership as preparations begin for the upcoming campaign.

The 46-year-old is expected to sign a two-year contract with the Sai Masu Gida.

Ogunmodede joins Kano Pillars after a successful spell with Remo Stars, where he guided the Ikenne-based side to their maiden NPFL title during the 2024/25 season.

He stepped down from his role as technical adviser of Remo Stars towards the end of last season.

In addition to his club duties, Ogunmodede serves as one of the assistant coaches to Éric Chelle with the Nigeria national football team.
