Nigerian music star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has said he would still have pursued a career in the entertainment industry even if he had not succeeded as a musician.
The Grammy-nominated singer made the revelation during an interview with PlayKisstra, where he spoke about the career path he believes he would have taken if music had not worked out.
According to Davido, his passion for entertainment would likely have led him to establish a record label or a media company rather than becoming a performing artiste.
“I’d probably be a label owner or have a media house because I’ve always loved entertainment. Even if I was working in my daddy’s office, I can see myself having a side business like a music label just because I love music,” he said.
The singer also revealed that he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and believes he could have pursued a corporate career if necessary.
“I have a degree. I have a BSc in Business Management, so I can go to Barclays here and try to get a job. You know what I’m saying? I could get a job. I can actually get a job. I got a résumé,” he added.
Davido rose to prominence in 2012 following the release of ‘Dami Duro’, the hit single from his debut studio album, ‘Omo Baba Olowo’, which established him as one of Nigeria’s leading music stars.
