A retired Justice of the Court of Appeal, George Shoremi, has accepted the role of Father-of-the-Day at the eighth anniversary lecture of Penpushing Media, scheduled to hold on 23 July 2026 at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library complex in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
Announcing the development on Tuesday, the Chairperson of the anniversary lecture, Dr. Abiola Akiyode-Afolabi, said that Shoremi, who is a respected Nigerian legal luminary, commended the editorial board and planning committee of Penpushing Media, owners of the online newspaper and television by the same name, for their foresight and relevance in the media industry
Akiyode-Afolabi restated that the lecture themed, “Restoring Electoral Integrity: The Path to Good Governance and Public Accountability”, will be handled by a legal luminary, Mr. Femi Falana, while a panel of four intellectuals would discuss the presentation.
Shoremi is the Chairman of the Registered Trustees of the Abeokuta Sports Club.
