UEFA has announced Wednesday, September 2, 2026, as the deadline for clubs participating in the 2026/27 UEFA Champions League to submit their List A squads.

The European football governing body said clubs must submit their squad lists, which are subject to approval by the relevant national associations, no later than 23:59 CET on the deadline day.

Under UEFA regulations, clubs are permitted to register a maximum of 25 players on List A for the competition.

At least two of the available places must be reserved for goalkeepers, while clubs are also required to comply with rules governing locally trained players.

UEFA stated that a minimum of eight places on the 25-man List A must be allocated to locally trained players.

However, no more than four of those eight places can be occupied by players classified as association-trained.

The governing body added that clubs unable to meet the required number of locally trained players would have their maximum squad size reduced accordingly.

UEFA also reminded participating clubs to ensure that their submissions comply fully with the competition’s squad-size and player eligibility regulations ahead of the new Champions League campaign.
