Nigerian dancer, singer and hypeman, Iweh Pascal Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, has reportedly been arrested and remanded in the United Kingdom over an alleged rape case.
The reported development comes amid earlier allegations of sexual misconduct made against the entertainer by Nigerian-born Texas rapper Ms Jorji, who had accused him of misconduct during an alleged encounter in Dallas, Texas, in 2024.
However, claims linking Poco Lee’s reported arrest in the UK to the earlier allegations have not been officially confirmed by British authorities.
Benjamin Kuti, popularly known as the Oluomo of Derby and founder of the Community of Nigerians in the United Kingdom, said the entertainer is currently on remand and is expected to appear in court on September 15, 2026.
Kuti, who said he had been acting as a correspondent and source of support for Poco Lee, stated that the entertainer’s next court appearance would be a plea hearing at Snaresbrook Crown Court.
“I can confirm that the reports are true. Poco Lee is currently on remand in a UK prison. His next court date is scheduled for September 15, when he is expected to have a plea hearing,” he said.
He added that he planned to attend the court proceedings to provide support and ensure that the entertainer received appropriate assistance during the legal process.
Kuti stressed that Poco Lee remains innocent unless proven guilty by a court of law.
According to him, the hearing is scheduled to take place at Snaresbrook Crown Court on September 15, 2026, at 10am.
At the hearing, Poco Lee is expected to enter a plea in response to the allegation. He is reportedly being held in Kent pending further legal proceedings.
Meanwhile, allegations that the UK case is connected to claims that Poco Lee allegedly spiked a dancer’s drink before sexually assaulting her have not been confirmed by British authorities.
The circumstances surrounding the case remain unclear, and further details are expected to emerge as the legal proceedings continue.
