Fulham are reportedly working on a new contract for Super Eagles defender Calvin Bassey, who has one year remaining on his current deal with the Premier League club.
The London club also have the option to trigger a one-year extension that would keep the Nigerian defender at Craven Cottage until the summer of 2028.
Bassey has established himself as a key figure in Fulham’s defence and has continued to impress with his performances for the club.
After winning Fulham’s Player of the Season award for the 2024/25 campaign, the 25-year-old has maintained his importance under new manager Álvaro Arbeloa, starting all three of Fulham’s Premier League matches this season.
Since joining Fulham from Ajax for €22.5 million in July 2023, Bassey has made 105 appearances for the club across all competitions.
Fulham are now looking to secure the defender’s future amid his growing importance to the team.
