Omotoso, Abayomi return as Sanwo-Olu releases 39 commissioner-nominees

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has sent the names of 39 nominees for appointment as commissioners in the state.

On Friday, the governor transmitted the list of his proposed cabinet members to the state House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.

According to a tweet by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Gboyega Akosile, 30 per cent of the commissioner-nominees are women, while others are youths, technocrats and politicians.

The governor reappointed Mr. Gbenga Omotoso (Information), Mr. Sam Egube (Economic Planning and Budget), Prof. Akin Abayomi (Health) and Mrs. Folashade Adefisayo (Education).

Former Special Adviser to the Governor on Works and Infrastructure, Engr. (Mrs.)Aramide Adeyoye; and former Special Adviser on Education, Barrister Tokunbo Wahab also made the list.

Former commissioners Mr. Rabiu Olowo (Finance), Mr. Moyosore Onigbanjo, SAN (Justice and Attorney-General) and Mrs. Yetunde Arobieke (Wealth Creation and Employment), among others failed to make the list.
