The Minister of Solid Minerals, Dr. Oladele Alake has commiserated with Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji and the people of the state over the death of the state chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Barrister Paul Omotosho.

In a statement on Wednesday by his Special Adviser on Communication, Hon. Kehinde Bamigbetan, the Minister said: “In his death, we have lost a dogged democrat, a fair-minded adjudicator, a consummate grassroots politician, and a party man to the core”.

His statement read: “With deep sympathy and submission to the will of God, I join the good people of Ekiti State to commiserate with Governor Biodun Oyebanji over shocking transition to eternal glory of our ever hardworking, patriotic and populist political leader and efficient party administrator, Paul Omotosho

“In his death, we have lost a dogged democrat, a fair-minded adjudicator, a consummate grassroots politician, and a party man to the core. His transition is a gentle reminder that all men are destined to mortality.

“It is also an opportunity to celebrate his good deeds in the service of our dear party, the All Progressives Congress. Indeed, when we remember the harrowing suffering of his kidnap, an ordeal he faced with courage and grace: and how he put himself to the service of the party to ensure the historic victory of the party in all the elections held under his leadership, we cannot but salute his heroism and commitment to the people’s cause.

“His sacrifices towards the survival of the party inspire us to continue his good works and demonstrate that he will always live in our hearts.

“I sympathise with the Kabiyesi and the people of Imesi-Ile on this irreparable loss and pray for the repose of his gentle soul”.
