Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu joined a women support walk for his second term bid and the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu on Monday.
Accompanied by his deputy, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, Sanwo-Olu led the walk, held along selected areas of Lagos metropolis.
In the Governor’s team were his wife, Ibijoke and that of the Deputy Governor, Oluremi.
The event tagged: “Lagos Women Support Walk for Tinubu/Shettima, Sanwo-Olu, Hamzat” also attracted the state APC Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi.
Others included former Deputy Governor, Mrs Oluranti Adebule and state’s APC Women Leader, Mrs Jumoke Okoya-Thomas.
Spotting various coloured T-Shirts with Tinubu’s insignia, the women chanted various solidarity songs.
The group marched on the Lagos Island, CMS and other areas and terminated at Mobolaji Johnson Arena (formerly Onikan Stadium, Onikan), singing and hailing Tinubu.
On his Twitter handle, Sanwo-Olu’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr Gboyega Akosile hinted that the real deal is yet to unfold in terms of the Tinubu campaign for next year’s elections.
He wrote: “Lagos women tested their microphones for @officialABAT and @KashimSM today. Lagos remains fully BATified”.
