The wife of Yobe State governor, Hajiya Hafsa Kollere Buni, has expressed sympathy and support for neighbouring Borno State in the wake of recent devastating floods.
In a statement, Hajiya Buni addressed Falmata Babagana Umara Zulum, the first lady of Borno State, offering condolences and moral support.
She called for unity and resilience in the face of the natural disaster, and highlighted the long road to recovery that lies ahead for the affected communities.
“The loss and devastation are deeply saddening, and horrendous. As a sister state, I stand with you all in condolence, solidarity, and prayer. May strength, hope, and unity guide the recovery efforts as we rebuild homes and lives.
“Together, we will rise above this tragedy. My thoughts and unwavering support are with every person affected. Stay strong, Borno. We are in this together”, she said.
