The Steering Committee of the Wale Olomu Memorial Awards (WOMA 2024) has announced the commencement of its two-part event series, designed to spotlight critical issues in the Nigerian entertainment industry and honour trailblazers.
The first event, a Roundtable Discussion, will hold on Saturday, 14 December, featuring prominent speakers who will address the theme, ‘Building Broad-based Safety Nets for Veteran and Indigent Practitioners”.
Guest speakers will include iconic musician, Mike Okri, who is renowned for evergreen hits such as Time Na Money and Rhumba Dance.
Others are acclaimed Nollywood actress and activist, Foluke Daramola-Salako, who is deeply committed to humanitarian causes within the industry; and Managing Partner at Abraham, Thompsons & Co., Oluwaseun Ajasa.
The event will be hosted live TopRadio 90.9 FM, by Femi Akintunde-Johnson (FAJ) and Tokunbo Ojekunle, during “The Vintage Talkshow”.

The second part of WOMA 2024 is the Special Recognition and Life Achievement Awards holding the following week, to honour exceptional contributions to the growth of the entertainment industry.
WOMA celebrates unsung excellence, innovation, and dedication within the Nigerian entertainment industry, fostering dialogue and progress for practitioners across generations.
