Kennedy Boboye has rejoined Akwa United for a second stint as head coach of the Promise Keepers.

Boboye penned a short-term contract for the remainder of the season at the club’s secretariat in Uyo on Monday.

The former Nigeria international first joined Akwa United during the 2019-2020 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, season.

The 50-year-old won the NPFL title with the Uyo club the following season.

It was his second NPFL title having guided Plateau United to claim the top prize in 2017.

Boboye will resume work with the team later this week.
