Veteran Nigerian actress Ngozi Nwosu has appealed to the public for financial assistance as she undergoes treatment for an undisclosed illness.
The actress made the appeal in a video posted on her Instagram page on Thursday, in which she was seen lying on a hospital bed.
Nwosu said she requires ₦30 million to undergo three life-saving surgeries.
Speaking about her health condition, she said: “I can’t keep quiet anymore.”
Appealing to fans, colleagues, friends and family for support, the actress said she had been hospitalised for three weeks.
“Please, I need your help. Don’t let me die. My fans, friends, family and colleagues, this was really hard for me to do, but I can’t keep quiet anymore. I need urgent life-saving surgeries,” she said.
In the accompanying post, Nwosu shared her bank account details and urged members of the public to support her if they were able to do so.
“Please don’t scroll past. Share this post and support if you can. God bless you and may you and yours never experience this affliction,” she wrote.
The actress did not disclose the nature of her illness.
