The Super Eagles have been paired with hosts Côte d’Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea and Guinea Bissau in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
All the teams are in Group A of the competition, which holds from 13th January to 11th February, next year.

Group D: Algeria, Burkina Faso, Mauritania, Angola
Group E: Tunisia, Mali, South Africa, Namibia
Group F: Morocco. DR Congo, Zambia, Tanzania
Former Super Eagles captain, John Mikel Obi was among the assistants for the draw.
Mikel was joined by his former Chelsea teammate, Didier Drogba; Senegal striker, Sadio Mane; and Morocco defender, Achraf Hakimi.
Global Music icon, Akon hosted the event.
Mikel won the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations with Nigeria.
The former midfielder is a three-time AFCON bronze medallist with the Super Eagles.
The draw ceremony was held at the brand-new Parc des Expositions, Abidjan.
Delegations and the coaches from each of the 24 participating nations, CAF legends, international media, CAF commercial partners, showbiz celebrities and African leaders attended for the much-anticipated final draw, which truly kick-stared the final stretch to what is shaping up to the best AFCON ever.
