BetKing marks 6th anniversary with football showcase

Nigeria’s leading sports betting company, BetKing celebrated its sixth anniversary with a thrilling exhibition football match between KingMakers FC and BetKing Agents at the BetKing Mini Stadium, Lagos.

The match, symbolising unity and competitiveness among staff and partners, was kicked off by BetKing’s Managing Director/CEO, Gossy Ukanwoke in a ceremonial start.

Kingmakers FC started strong, scoring two awesome goals, but the Agents quickly tied the game before halftime. In the second half, the Agents took the lead again. However, the Kingmakers did not give up and fought back, tying the match at 3-3.

The deadlock led to a tense penalty shootout, ultimately resulting in the Agents securing victory with a decisive penalty kick.

As part of the celebration, Gossy expressed excitement, stating: “We are thrilled to celebrate our sixth anniversary with such an exciting exhibition match. The games were a fantastic display of teamwork, skill, and sportsmanship from both the Kingmakers and Agents. Congratulations to the Agents for their well-deserved victory. Here’s to a splendid anniversary and the many shared triumphs ahead, all while upholding BetKing’s responsible gaming mantra”.

Further contributing to the celebration, BetKing showcased its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) with a second football match between the teams it sponsors: Ikorodu FC and the Kidsport Charity Initiative.

The match concluded with a 4-3 win in favour of Ikorodu FC, emphasising BetKing’s dedication to CSR, with grassroots football development as key focus.

The event concluded with joyous celebrations, uniting employees, stakeholders, players and spectators in commemorating BetKing’s successful six-year journey.
