Akwa Ibom State governor, Pastor Umo Eno has declared that the state’s remodelled liaison office in Abuja must earn revenue and add more value to the state government, in addition to its role as the office of the state government in the Federal Capital city.
On an inspection visit to the six-floor magnificent property yesterday, the governor directed that only one floor of the choice property located in the Central Business District of the city be used as the Liaison Office, while the five remaining floors be leased out to reputable blue-chip companies in search of up market and deluxe accommodation. “I am a businessman and I know that such a high class and high quality complex in the centre of Abuja, made possible by my predecessor, Deacon Udom Emmanuel can add more value and do more good to Akwa Ibom in addition to its pride of place as our home base in Abuja”, Eno said.
The governor, who was received by an excited crowd of staff with welcoming and congratulatory placards, was on a one-day working visit to the capital city of Abuja, during which he paid a courtesy visit to President Bola Tinubu and met with members of the National Assembly from the state across party lines, in the two-wing Liaison Office.

The Liaison Officer, Prince Edwin James, who conducted the governor around the entire facility, praised the Eno for finding time within 10 days of assumption of office to visit the facility, while the governor pledged his commitment to unite all Akwa Ibom people, no matter their political leanings and views.
