The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Abimbola Owoade has donated hospital equipment and consumables worth millions of Naira to the community health centre in the town.

In a statement in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, on Saturday, the Alaafin’s media aide, Mr. Bode Durojaiye said that the ultra-modern equipment was brought to the town on Friday and would be installed at the health centre.

He said: ‘The donation is to ensure even development in the community and to support the mantra of inclusive governance of Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration.

‘The aim is to help the less privileged, and the construction of the health centre and donation of medical equipment is to help those with health challenges’.

Oba Owoade expressed optimism that the equipment would ease the challenges confronting people in accessing quality medical treatment.

The equipment, according to him, includes ultrasound machines, and electrical beds among others.

However, some of the residents, who witnessed the delivery of the equipment, described the monarch as one with ‘self-awareness, courage, respect, compassion, and resilience, who is learning agile and flex his influence while communicating the vision, showing gratitude, and collaborating effectively’.

A resident said: ‘With this laudable feat, our monarch has proved himself that he is able to set a practical vision and suitable, achievable targets. He knows how to set SMART goals that are specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and timely. Kudos to our pragmatic Paramount Ruler’.
