APC deputy national chairman, Dalori installed as Zanna Hong

The Adamawa prominent traditional ruler, Lamido Adamawa, His Royal Highness Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Musdafa over the weekend honoured the APC Deputy National Chairman(North), Hon. (Dr) Ali Dalori as he bestowed on him the traditional title of ZANNA OF HONG, in an auspicious event in Hong.

The APC leader was honoured by the traditional ruler in recognition of Dalori’s distinguished and exemplary service to the people of the northeast in particular and humanity in general.

The event which was attended by friends, family and political associates of the APC Deputy National Chairman was filled with thrills, glamour and pageantry as it showed the parade of traditional attires, music and dance in a conviviality environment.

In a release made available to journalists in Abuja by Dalori’s Special Adviser, Media and Strategy, Hon. Yemi Akinbode said Dalori was honoured with the title of Zanna of Hong by the Lamido Adamawa, Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu in recognition of Dalori’s selfless philanthropic and humanitarian service to the people of Nigeria, particularly the people of the northeast.

The statement read “Today the APC Deputy National Chairman (North) Hon. (Dr) Ali Dalori received the traditional title of Zanna Adamawa from the Adamawa eminent and foremost traditional ruler, His Royal Highness, Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu, the Lamido Adamawa.

While receiving the Award, Dalori thanked the traditional ruler and the good people of Hong’s local government for finding him worthy of the coveted honour.

He said, “I wish to express my gratitude to our father and the custodian of Adamawa’s rich cultural history, His Royal Highness Muhammadu Aliyu Barkindo Musdafa, the Lamido Adamawa for this great honour. Words are not enough to express how thankful and happy I feel about today’s epoch-making history. This award is a call to service.

To whom much is given, much is expected. You have thrown another challenge at me from this very moment. The challenge is that I should remain committed and steadfast in promoting the good of the people; you have added another leg to my journey. Before now if it was service that brought this honour, it is the right time to improve my service to society in terms of quantity and quality. If it is passion, I think I have to double my passion. This, I am committed to do, and do well without resting on my oars”.

“I also wish to use this opportunity to thank all my family, friends and associates across Adamawa State and beyond, who have found time to honour me with their presence. I can not but thank the good people of Borno State, starting with the Executive Governor, Professor Babagana Zulu for his goodwill and support all the time.

“Last but not the least, let me use this special moment to express my deep appreciation to the National Working Committee (NWC) of our Party, the APC under the able leadership of Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for their unrelentless work and support to ensure that Nigeria remains one single and indivisible nation in spite of the challenges and difficulties that we all faced as a people.

In the fullest of time, I will engage with His Royal Highness on what we need to do in our new role as Zanna of Hong to improve the lots of the people of Hong”, the statement concluded.

The event was attended by friends and political associates of the APC stalwart from across the country. They include; a former Chairman of APC, Adamawa State chapter Alhaji Bilal, former Commissioner for Finance in Adamawa State Hon. Yinusa, members of the APC National Working Committee from the northeast and Borno State, youth and women leaders, political and advocacy groups, students. Also in attendance were former counsellors and chairmen, former party chairmen and secretaries and other interest and community groups from Borno Adamawa and the northeast.
