Baobab unveils new head office, reinforces growth, operational excellence

Baobab Microfinance Bank has announced the opening of its new Head Office located at No. 129 Ikorodu Road, Lagos.

According to the bank, this marks a significant milestone in its growth journey and its continued commitment to operational excellence, best in class service to Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and financial inclusion.

Baobab Microfinance described the relocation as a reflection of the its strategic focus on strengthening its internal capacity while enhancing the quality and efficiency of services delivered to its customers across the country.

Positioned in one of Lagos’ major commercial corridors, the new head office provides improved accessibility and a more conducive environment to support the company’s expanding operations.

In line with this development, the bank has also announced that its offices located at 16E Ahmadu Bello Way, Kaduna, and 360 Murtala Muhammed Way, Yaba, Lagos, will now operate as head office annexes.

The bank explained that the transition would ensure continuity in operations, while optimising its nationwide structure for improved coordination and service delivery.

On the significance of the new head office, the Chairman of the Board, Mr. Rotimi Oyekanmi, said: ‘The commissioning of our new Head Office is a significant milestone in Baobab Nigeria’s growth journey. It reflects the strength of our vision, the resilience of our institution, and our unwavering commitment to expanding access to financial services while delivering long-term value to our customers and stakeholders’.

The bank assured that the new head office would serve as a central hub for innovation, collaboration, and strategic decision-making as Baobab Microfinance Bank continues to evolve in response to the needs of its customers and the broader financial ecosystem,

The move underscores the organization’s long-term vision of building a resilient institution that is well-equipped to drive sustainable growth and deepen its impact across Nigeria.

CEO of Baobab Microfinance Bank Nigeria, Eric Ntumba emphasised that the new location is not just a physical upgrade, but a strategic step toward enhancing organizational efficiency and strengthening stakeholder engagement.

‘This new head office positions us to operate more effectively, collaborate more seamlessly, and continue delivering innovative financial solutions to the individuals and businesses we serve. It reinforces our mission to make financial services more accessible, inclusive, and impactful’, he said.

The milestone comes at a time when the demand for accessible and reliable financial services is increasing, particularly among MSMEs. Baobab Microfinance Bank said it remains focused on leveraging its expertise, technology, and customer-centric approach to meet these needs effectively.
