Bauchi, UNICEF sign 2025 annual work plan

The Bauchi State Government, through the Ministry of Budget, Economic Planning, and Multilateral Coordination, have signed the 2025 work plan with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).

During the event, the Chief Field Officer, UNICEF, Bauchi, Dr. Nuzhat Rafique solicited all the necessary support and cooperation from all stakeholders for the successful implementation of its activities.

She explained that ‘The work plan was jointly prepared with relevant ministries, agencies, stakeholders in the state, including health, education, WASH, nutrition, societal and behavioural change’.

Responding, the State Commissioner Ministry of Budget, Economic Planning, and Multilateral Coordination, Amina Katagum, appreciated UNICEF for the partnership.

She lauded the technical and financial support that the state has been receiving through UNICEF, especially towards child-related programs, and thus promised to also support its programmes to improve focus, efficiency and closing gaps where identified.

Arewa PUNCH reports that the signing of the work plan signifies the formalisation and commitment of the two parties to achieving their goals and objectives for a successful and productive year.
