Controversial relationship expert, Blessing CEO, has apologised to Nigerians for making careless remarks about other people’s pain, saying she now regrets comments that may have hurt those going through difficult experiences.
The apology came shortly after her lover, businessman IVD, publicly sought forgiveness from his business partners, family members and friends.
In a lengthy Instagram post on Tuesday, Blessing CEO expressed remorse over her past comments, admitting that she had spoken insensitively about situations she had never personally experienced.
The social media personality, who recently lost her second son while in prison, said her present experience had made her reflect on the impact of her words and actions.
She described herself as human and acknowledged that mistakes come with consequences.
“I am realising that talk is cheap but action is loud. I’m only human, with blood flowing through my veins, so I’m bound to make mistakes,” she wrote.
Blessing CEO added that she was struggling emotionally and described her current situation as a painful consequence of her past conduct.
“Mistakes have a price and that’s what I’m paying for now with my tears. I am so broken to the point that I am losing myself. Pray for me because I’m exhausted from praying by myself,” she said.
She further apologised to people she had offended through her comments and actions, acknowledging that she had previously mocked or dismissed experiences she had not personally understood.
“I am sorry, I am so so sorry, for speaking about the pains I have never felt carelessly. So I will say this over and over again, I am sorry to everyone I have hurt with words and actions, now I can feel every bit of your pain that I once mocked,” she added.
Her apology has drawn attention to her previous public comments about people’s personal struggles, as she appealed for prayers and forgiveness.
