Controversial Nigerian relationship expert Blessing CEO has confirmed the death of her son, Bryan Onyedikachi, while denying authorising anyone to solicit financial assistance on her behalf.
Reports had emerged that Blessing lost her second son while she was in prison.
The development was made public on Friday evening by Amira Agiye, Chief Executive Officer of the Isaamira Foundation, who shared a video appealing for financial assistance for Blessing.
However, Blessing denied giving Agiye permission to announce her son’s death or raise money on her behalf.
In a recorded phone conversation with actress Doris Ogala, Blessing said she had not authorised anyone to solicit funds for her.
“I didn’t give anybody consent. And I think I’m in the best position to break the news of my son’s death, not an entire stranger,” she said.
Sharing the conversation on social media, Ogala urged anyone who had donated money to the fundraising campaign to seek a refund.
“Please oo, if you have donated money, go and collect your money back from that lady. Blessing says she doesn’t know the lady. She didn’t ask her to raise money for her,” Ogala said.
Ogala also disputed claims that Blessing was soliciting N56 million to meet her bail conditions.
“I’m aware that Blessing is almost done with her bail conditions and process, but saying that she’s soliciting for N56 million is a lie. And this is fraudulent,” she said.
Blessing’s comments have since raised questions over the fundraising campaign and the circumstances surrounding the announcement of her son’s death.
She maintained that she had neither authorised the announcement nor requested financial assistance in connection with her bail process.
