Rotary Club of Ikeja-Alausa Central on Friday received Rotary International District 9110 Governor, Rita Ejezie, who was on an official visit to the award winning club.
The District Governor and her entourage were full of praises for the two-year-old club as they participated in the activities that marked the DG visit.
The club made donation of academic items to its adopted school, Olowora Nursery and Primary School. The presentation was led by the DG who also inducted news members – Rotarian Kamala Azeez Adekunle and Rotarian Olumuyiwa Oduyoye.
The club’s President, Rotarian Olayinka Patunola-Ajayi and its Assistant Governor, AG Valentine Shomoye, supported by members of the club worked diligently to receive the commendation of the DG.
Rotary Club of Ikeja-Alausa Central (the Seat of Power) was chartered by Rotary International early in 2021. In the 2022-23 Rotary year, it won the third best club award among over 140 clubs in District 9110. It was No. 1 in the Club Administration category and finished among the top three in the Youth Service cadre.
