A high court in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has ordered the arrest of a factional National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Kabiru Turaki, for failing to appear before it on Thursday in a case filed by the Inspector-General of Police (IGP).

Justice Peter Kekemeke held that Turaki, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and former Minister, has no justification not to appear before him.

The IGP had filed a one-court charge against Turaki for allegedly providing false information to the police in a petition he filed in October 2022.
