Dalori mourns Borno finance commissioner

The Deputy National Chairman (North) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Ali Dalori has consoled Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Zulum, and the family of Hon. Ahmed Ali Ahmed, the state Commissioner for Finance, who died in Maiduguri on Monday.

Ahmed’s death sent his family and political associates across the state wailing. Dalori who jetted from Abuja to Maiduguri to pay condolences to the governor and the family of the young politician, who is described as part of the new force of the state’s grassroots politics.

According to a statement issued in Abuja by Dalori’s Special Adviser on Media and Strategy, Hon. Yemi Akinbode. the APC Deputy National Chairman (North) is grieved by the death of Ahmed, a young, dynamic and cerebral politician who is being projected to carry the torch of the state grassroots politics in the near future.

The statement read: “I am overwhelmed with grief about the death of our good, dependable and brilliant colleague and brother, Hon. Ahmed who passed away yesterday after a brief illness. This is one death that is unimaginable. It is too early in the annals of such a brilliant and dymanic young man. It downs on me that, this world is nothing, our struggles is an exercise in vanity if a life can end like this. As a leader, I am overwhelmed with grief and sorrow. Just like that, abruptly Hon. Ahmed light has been dimmed, his finarment of hope extinguished. This a very sad and painful exit.

“Allah, the giver of life, has just shown to us that everything is with His time, not with ours. He knows when to give, and when to take. This is his time. At this auspicious time, he has taken away our friend and brother. We have nothing to say than to pray for the repose of his soul in ‘aljaunnah’. We would remember hm for his good deeds. We would continue to pray for his family and the loved ones he left behind.

I commiserate with his family, the government and people of Borno State on the unfortunate incident. May Allah grant his family and loved ones the fortress and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss”.

Ahmed, 42. was a key character in the Zulum’s administración. His remain was buried on Monday, according to Islamic rites.

He is survived by wife and children.
