Dangote donates 25,000 waste bags in Ibese

Dangote Cement (Ibese plant) has donated 25,000 pieces of 100kg bags for the management of agro-waste.

Presenting the bags to Chief Executive Officer of Niels Deck Limited, Daniel Akpan, the Plant Director, Azad Nawabuddin restated Dangote Cement’s mission to provide 100,000 bags to empower communities and youths by stimulating the use of agro-waste as an alternative fuel.

Nawabuddin said the donation was part of efforts to encourage the use of alternative fuel to eliminate carbon emissions.

Akpan hailed Dangote Cement for the gesture, saying: “This will improve our waste management drive in communities, create more jobs and sustain the livelihood of people across the agro-waste management value chain.’

‘’As an advocate of decarbonisation, Niels is in the forefront of implementation of global initiatives for sustainable environment in communities’’, he said.
