Ahead of the Supreme Court ruling on the petition challenging the victory of the Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke in last July gubernatorial election, famous Nigerian Afrobeat singer David Adeleke (well known as Davido) has sought God’s intervention.
Davido is a nephew of the governor.
The Court of Appeal, Abuja Division had earlier set aside the decision of the Osun State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, which nullified Adeleke’s victory.
Taking to social media less than 24 hours to the apex court’s ruling, Davido prayed to God for the court to do the right thing.
He wrote: “Osun State Election Petition hearing comes up at the Supreme Court today. We look forward to the judicial affirmation of @AAdeleke_01 (The people’s) mandate. The hardest part is done, winning a free and fair Election. May God let the court do the right thing”.
