The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, on Friday, urged Christians across the country to show willingness to make sacrifices for Nigeria in the spirit of Easter.

This was even as the former Kano State governor urged them to pray for unity, peace, political stability, and prosperity in the country.

This was contained in a statement issued in Abuja on Friday by his Chief Press Secretary, Edwin Olofu.

According to him, Christians should seize the opportunity of the Easter holiday to reflect on what they need to do as a people to ensure that the current political and security situation in the country witness a turnaround for the better.

He said, “This year’s celebration of Easter is taking place at a period of very critical national history during which all must be prepared and willing to make sacrifices for greater unity, peace, political stability and progress in our beloved country.

“May this day of reflection and sacrifice inspire unity, peace, and harmony across the country. Let us uphold the values of love, compassion, and empathy towards one another.”

Ganduje also solicited the support of Nigerians for President Bola Tinubu as he sought to provide solutions to the current economic hardship being faced by the people.

While describing the hardship as a temporary challenge, the APC national chairman expressed joy that the effort of the current government is already yielding results.

He, therefore, called on Nigerians, irrespective of religious and political affiliations to join the President, who he claimed is working hard to bail out Nigeria from its current challenges.
