As residents of Edo State prepare to elect their governor on Saturday, Nigerians under the aegis of the Coalition of Nigerian Diaspora Interest Groups in the United States of America have thrown their weight behind the candidature of Madam Patience Ofure-Key of the Peoples Redemption Party.

The Coalition, on Monday, said that the election in the state marked a pivotal moment for the people to shape their trajectory and aspirations, adding that it settled for Ofure-Key because she embodied the essence of visionary leadership with a robust and pragmatic vision for the people of the state.

In a statement by its Head of Media, Oremeyi Kareem, the group said, “The upcoming Edo State governorship elections mark a pivotal moment for Edolites to shape the trajectory of their aspirations. After careful consideration of the options, and reviewing various political parties, manifestos, and candidates, we, the members of the Coalition of Nigerian Diaspora Interest Groups, enthusiastically extend our wholehearted endorsement to Patience Ndidi Ofure Key, the candidate of the Peoples Redemption Party.

“The PRP candidate embodies the essence of visionary leadership with a robust and pragmatic vision for the people of Edo State. Her rallying cry, “Rise, Edo Rise: Together We Build Our Tomorrow,” resonates deeply, reminding us that our shared commitment to the growth and prosperity of Edo State is invaluable.

“She has been tested as the former President of the Nigerian American Association in the Diaspora and the current President of the Nigeria Diaspora Chamber of Commerce. She is ready.

“We are inspired by Ofure-Key’s unwavering belief in Edo State’s greatest resource – her citizens. Her dedication to harnessing human capital and unlocking the potential within every Edo son and daughter is not merely a campaign promise but a clarion call to action for all of us.”

The statement added that the coalition acknowledges the potential of its people, hence its endorsement of Ofure-Key

“As representatives of the Coalition of Nigerian Diaspora Interest Groups, we recognise the immense potential within our people, witnessed through their ingenuity, resilience, and dedication worldwide. Ofure-Key pledges to tap into this potential globally, presenting a bold and transformative approach that will elevate Edo State to unprecedented heights. We can attest to her values which include empathy, hard work, resilience, courage, and integrity. Her commitment to creating a thriving environment where education, innovation, and entrepreneurship flourish is particularly compelling.

“By investing in our people and ensuring every Edo citizen has the opportunity to rise, she lays the groundwork for a future where Edo State shines on the national and global stage. Throughout her leadership journey, PNK has demonstrated herself as a compassionate listener, a caring advocate, and a decisive actor. She understands that Edo State’s strength lies in its people and is prepared to empower each one of us to contribute to our collective success.

“The Coalition of Nigerian Diaspora Interest Groups stands united in our unwavering support for Ofure+keys. We believe in her vision, her leadership, and her dedication to a brighter future for Edo State. Together, under her stewardship, we are confident that Edo State will achieve unparalleled levels of prosperity and development.
