The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested Halimat Tejuosho, the suspended South-West Women Leader of the City Boy Movement, over an alleged fraud case.
EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, confirmed the arrest on Saturday, saying Tejuosho was in the commission’s custody.
“She is in our custody,” Oyewale said.
The development follows the commission’s decision in April to declare Tejuosho wanted over an allegation of obtaining money under false pretences.
At the time, the EFCC identified her as a Lagos State indigene and listed her last known address as House A26, Aso Grove Estate, Maitama Extension, Abuja.
The commission had appealed to members of the public with information about her whereabouts to contact its offices or the nearest police station.
Tejuosho has now been taken into EFCC custody, where she is expected to assist investigators as the commission continues its investigation into the allegations.
