Old Trafford, the 74,000-capacity home of Manchester United, was transformed into a venue for worship on Saturday as Nigerian pastor Jerry Eze led the NSPPD UK Prayer Conference.
Organised by Streams of Joy International, the gathering attracted worshippers from across the United Kingdom and other parts of the world for a programme of prayer, worship and fellowship.
Entry to the conference was free, although attendees were required to register in advance because of limited capacity.
Demand for places was reported to have exceeded availability, with some social media users claiming the event had reached capacity and turning to TikTok in the days before the conference to seek spare tickets.
The programme featured performances and ministry from a number of prominent gospel artistes and ministers, including Sunmisola Agbebi, Mercy Chinwo, Dunsin Oyekan and Kaestrings.
The event marked a notable occasion for the NSPPD prayer community, bringing its UK gathering to one of the country’s most recognisable sporting venues.
