EFCC nabs 8 alleged internet fraudsters in Abuja

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abuja Zonal command, on Thursday apprehended eight suspected internet fraudsters.

The suspects were arrested in Kubwa, a suburb of Abuja, and in neighbouring Nasarawa State. tt

The commission disclosed the names of the suspects to include: David Oche Igoche, Innocent Adikwu, Anderson Oshiomegie Edemode, and Chinonso P. Peter. Others include Emmanuel Smart, Favour Anucha, Adegbayi Tunde, and Desmond Esosa.

They were said to have been arrested following actionable intelligence received by the commission.

Properties recovered from them are over five mobile phones, two laptops, and two internet-linking devices.

According to the commission, the suspects “will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded”.
