Former governor of Imo State, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha has lost his mother, Dame Dorothy Nsonma Ihedioha. She was 90 years old.
In a statement titled, “Our Matriarch Transits to Eternity”, which he signed on behalf of the family, Ihedioha said that his mother passed on on Thursday in Abuja with her family by her side.
He recalled that Mama celebrated her 90th birthday last 28th August.
“While we thank friends and well wishers who identified with us, particularly during our mother’s last days, we enjoin you to remember the family in your prayers.
“Funeral arrangements will be announced in due course,” the former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives wrote.
Dame Ihedioha is survived by children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
