Nigerian champions, Enyimba are not ready to give up despite losing to Morocco’s Wydad Athletic Club on Sunday.

Finidi George’s side went down to a 1-0 defeat against the Red Castle in the first leg of the African Football League quarter-final fixture at the Godswil Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, on Sunday.

Wydad’s captain Yayha Jabrane netted the winner from the spot eight minutes before the break.

Enyimba finished the game with 10-men after Somiari Alalibo was sent off late on.

The two-time African champions must score two goals without conceding in the reverse fixture to sail through to the semi-finals.

“We fight on”, Enyimba wrote on their official Facebook page with a team picture.

The second leg will hold this weekend at the Mohamed V Stadium, Casablanca.
