Former Everton CEO, Keith Wyness has confirmed his former club’s interest in Nigerian international, Kelechi Iheanacho.
Iheanacho is on the verge of leaving Leicester City on a free transfer this summer as his contract with the Foxes will expire at the end of June.
City have earned promotion back to the English Premier League (EPL), from where they were relegated last season.
The 27-year-old has been linked with a number of clubs within and outside England.
Wyness believed Iheanacho still has what it takes to thrive in the EPL after spending one season with Leicester City in the English Championship.
“I think he can do a big job for Premier League sides, he’s someone I’d keep an eye on. I know Everton have been interested in him, and he’s got the ability to get a good move in the Premier League”, he told Football Insider
“But for Leicester, they will want to keep as much stability as possible. However, if you can’t reach agreements, then nothing can get done”.
