The Feel Nigeria Tourism Exchange reality show has called for entries.
According to the organisers, participants will have the opportunity to launch their TV career and become cultural ambassadors.
The organisers said: ‘We are searching for vibrant individuals and dynamic families in Lagos to star in a groundbreaking global reality TV series.
‘Foreign contestants from around the world will win an all-expenses-paid trip to Nigeria. Their mission? To move in with a local individual or family for a completely immersive, authentic 10-day stay.
‘This is your chance to host the world, share the beauty of our culture, and be featured on a major international television production.
‘We want the best Nigerian storytellers! We are expanding our search beyond traditional family structures to include single individuals, who are ready to share their unique lives, work, and community stories with a global audience’.
The show will afford viewers the opportunity to ‘experience the world from your living room as they join the FNTE reality show’.
The criteria for the cultural ambassadors (individual or family):
- The passion to host: A sincere, demonstrable excitement to welcome a non-Nigerian stranger and guide them through a truly local experience
- A rich cultural lifestyle: You actively practice and celebrate local Nigerian traditions, from cooking authentic meals to engaging in local community life
- Language fluency: Must be fluent in English, with active use of a local Nigerian language (Pidgin, Yoruba, etc.) in your daily life
- Commitment to the reality TV process: You must be comfortable with constant camera presence and sharing aspects of your daily routine with a global audience.
The organisers emphasised accommodation flexibility, explaining that, while many hosts will use their own safe and comfortable apartments, ‘you might not necessarily need to use your own residence.
‘If your story is powerful but your apartment is logistically challenging for filming, the production team can work with you to arrange alternative accommodation to ensure your story is told’.
The show also expects the contestants to be available and willing to participate in activities and filming schedules over the production period.
Host ambassadors will receive substantial cash compensation for their time, hospitality, and all expenses paid.
The organisers said thst the benefits to the contestants include the opportunity to ‘launch your TV career, gain global exposure, build your personal brand, and launch a career in television or cultural media’.
It also include participants leaving their mark on a global cultural exchange platform, and forging a lasting, meaningful connection with someone from a completely different part of the world.
